Take the Ice for a Good Cause with Taylor Cup Pond Hockey

Take a competitive game of hockey, and instead of playing on a standard, regulation rink, chase the puck around a frozen pond. Play it round-robin style, and pit fund-raising teams against each other in a rousing weekend tournament.

What do you get? The Taylor Cup Pond Hockey Championship!

Play Pond Hockey and Benefit Cancer Treatment

The event will take place on January 27-29 at Bayview Wildwood Resort at Sparrow Lake.

Fundraising for the hockey tournament will directly benefit the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. Teams and individual fundraisers who raise the most money, along with other top fundraisers, will win prizes.

In addition, a special dinner and awards ceremony will be held for all participants on Saturday, January 28.

How to Register

Registration for the pond hockey event is easy. You can sign up online – create a team or join an existing team. Each team must pay a registration fee, which is nonrefundable and helps cover the operating costs of the tournament.

All teams are required to raise a minimum of $1000, with each individual responsible for at least $100.

How to Raise Money

In order to raise money, simply find sponsors, either for your team or for you as an individual player. Sponsors can donate via the Sponsor a Participant page on the Taylor Cup website.

Outdoor hockey in Canada is a classic way to have fun and raise money for a worthwhile cause. Join the fun and sign up for the Taylor Cup, and book your stay at hockey headquarters, the Bayview Wildwood Resort, for comfort and relaxation between games for the duration of the tournament.
